Bobbie Wirkmaa

Bobbie Wirkmaa is a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant (CDBC) and Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) with more than two decades of experience in behavior, shelter enrichment, and canine sports. As the founder of Dogology Behavior Consulting, she draws from both science and deep emotional insight—perspectives that shape her storytelling as much as her work with dogs. Her debut romantasy novel, Elemental Awakening, began as a journal entry exercise during a difficult season and grew into a world of elemental magic, dragons, and a heroine forged through grief, power, and love. What started as reflection became a lifeline—and eventually a series. Bobbie lives in southern New Jersey with her husband and five beloved dogs. When she’s not writing, she can be found competing in a dog sport called agility, surfing, or dreaming up emotionally rich stories full of tension, yearning, and resilience. Elemental Awakening is the first book in her five-book series, Echoes of Lumoria.
