KARJAKA MAGAZINE
The Magazine

Privacy

The short version: you can read every page of this magazine without an account, a sign-in, or an advertising profile. We collect information only when you hand it to us — an email address for the newsletter, or a message through a form — and we use it only for the thing you handed it to us for.

Reading the magazine

The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes visitors' IP addresses as part of delivering pages and defending the site against attacks — the ordinary mechanics of hosting. We do not set tracking cookies of our own and there is nothing to log into.

The newsletter

If you subscribe, your email address is stored with Resend, the service that sends our letters. Every letter carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from future sends. Like most publications, we can see standard delivery and engagement events — whether a letter arrived, and whether it was opened — which we use to judge our letters, not our readers. We do not sell, rent, or share the list.

Writing to us

What you type into the contact or advertising form becomes an email to the publisher, nothing more. It is not added to any list, and replying to you uses the address you gave for exactly that purpose.

Keeping bots out

Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which may run invisibly — it examines characteristics of your browser and how the page is used to tell people from spam scripts, without puzzles and without building an advertising profile. Its data handling is described in the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum, which this policy incorporates by reference.

Advertising

Ads in the magazine are direct-sold campaigns served through Google Ad Manager on the pages that carry an ad slot. Google may process device information to serve and measure those campaigns under Google's privacy policy. We do not run open-exchange programmatic advertising, and our creative standard bans the attention-grabbing formats that usually bring heavy tracking with them.

Embedded players

Some articles embed audio or video players from services like Spotify, YouTube, and Vimeo. Those load from the service's own servers, and playing them is subject to that service's privacy policy, not ours.

Traffic

When we measure readership we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and counts pages, not people — no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking, no individual profiles.

Questions

Write to us through the contact page — a question about your data reaches the publisher directly, and we will answer it plainly.
